Job Summary

This individual is responsible to prospect and generate new commercial business accounts and maintain current customer base. Customers may include businesses, governmental organizations and individuals, both in the US and abroad. This position requires cold calling on commercial accounts in the field or corporate locations to generate new permanent sales.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties

  • Ensure effective internal communication within the sales, marketing team, customer support and across the company;
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of Company’s services and pricing structure.
  • Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
  • Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service needs.
  • Work with purchasing to ensure business is transacted accurately and within pricing guidelines to the highest ethical standards;
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Liaising within to insure the progress of existing orders,
  • Meet or exceed the new business sales goal.
  • Complete scheduled and cold call prospecting activities to establish first and follow-up appointments with customer decision makers.
  • Effectively and timely communicate in writing (all) updates on respective customer base, which includes, but not limited to:
    • Equipment forecasting, equipment change notification, field service related requirements, special requirements and billing requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals/presentations and follow-up with customer decision makers.
  • Complete as required Master Service Agreement requirements, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Provide customer with all required paperwork to include credit applications in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit for review all required sales activity reports to Vice President Business Development or other appropriate personnel on or before deadline.
  • Work with customers to ensure timely payments against invoices
  • Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations,
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues;
  • Work with customers to ensure timely payments against invoices;
  • Maintains and operates company or personal vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, observing speed limits and obeys all road and highway laws; Complies with requirements of vehicle use for company business policy and drivers guidelines;
  • Observes and follows all company health, safety and environmental policies, rules and regulations;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years outside business-to-business sales with a proven track record of success; oil and gas industry sales experience preferred. One year of experience in a customer-facing sales role (business to business).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid driver’s license required, along with driving record that will meet company insurance policy standards for insurability. Driver’s license and required endorsements must be kept valid and maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Physical Requirements

Bending, stooping, sitting, walking; visual acuity and hand/finger dexterity. Employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use close and distant vision abilities. The employee must lift and /or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

PPE Requirements

Requires safety glasses, steel toe boots in shop environment and include hard hats and FRC’s when on customer locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, warm, hot and cold temperatures. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
